Tandem Deluxe 2 Digit ScoreScore Flip Flipper

Many coaches would like to have a nice scoreboard that they can take with them to practice and easily carry it away. A lot of portable scoreboards come as a unit that screws together and is awkward to carry and store. This scoreboard collapses flat and requires no assembly. Another plus is the construction. Heavy 7″ vinyl numbers count from 01 to 99. The set flip card goes to from 1 to 5, allowing 5 sets of volleyball. This deluxe model of the scoreboard also includes a handle for easy carrying.

I used this product all fall during the boys high school season. With players often dropping it from a ball cart height and it is not damaged at all. Solid construction for daily use make it a valuable thing to have around when scoring any kind of scrimmage drills in your practices. The scoreboard is definitely professional and reliable enough to use to keep score during high school and club tournaments while being affordable at under $70.00.

Tandem Deluxe Volleyball Linesman Flags with Carrying Bag for 4 FlagsFlags

As a club coach for girls 15U, I have to referee many matches in the Badger Region of USAV. One of the many problems with being a coach of younger girls is their attention tends to wander during the task of line judging. My players always know not to text, or play with their iPods, but teenagers will be teenagers and, of course, line judging isn’t as fun as hanging out with your teammates during tournament downtime. Having a set of durable linesmen flags has always been a real want of mine and I found a set of great ones. The flags provide the players with something to hold on to and gives them more of a sense of responsibility by feeling more official.

My set includes four red flags and is economical at under $50.00 and practical. They also come with a convenient cloth, not plastic, carrying bag. Each flag has a soft plastic non-slip grip with an aluminum pole and cloth flag that really “pops” when making calls helping out referees when fouls occur.  Get them for your school’s volleyball program or club teams and make life easier and more fun for the line judges.

Champion Sports Dry-Erase Volleyball Clipboard

I’m a coach that loves a good clipboard. We usually get them as prizes for attending a coaching clinic, or as a gift from loved ones. We never really set out looking for a clipboard. Some coaches don’t even use them or simply get one from Staples or Office Max. But if you’re the kind of coach that likes to diagram things on the fly in the huddle, you need a dry-erase clipboard. If you’re a coach that needs detail, you need this clipboard.

The Champion Sports Dry-Erase board has two sides; A full-size volleyball court image side, and a half court image side and is 16″ in length and 10″ in width. It comes with a dry-erase marker, but I actually use my own colored ones. The board is flexible, so it doesn’t feel like a brick in your hand. But not flexible enough that you could break it. It’s surface is very slick, unlike most other boards that require a good scrubbing every few days of use, this board can be just swiped clean with a rag after each match. All of this for just about $16.00 is a good deal.

Summary

These are just a few small items to get me back into full time blogging on volleyball coaching since my high school season is over and club begins with a less hectic schedule. If there are other coaching items that you would like to learn more about, let me know and I’ll do what I can to get a hold of one and review it for you.
